This book is a great book for kids 4th grade (so 9/10) and up. I absolutely loved reading it!!!

Auriella had my sympathy from the first page, when she decided to run into a burning building to save children from burning to death and then was forced to run for her life after being branded a witch….all because she wasn’t burned in the fire.

Then began her adventure.

I will advise that there was a horrific scene where she was almost mauled to death by a wolf and then she was almost beaten to death. Other then those scenes, the book is great for grade school kids.

I couldn’t read this book fast enough. It had everything. Fairies….check. Pixies….check. Dwarves……check. Knights…..check. Evil demons….check. Dragons….check. A heroine who decided to be anything she wanted to be (orphan, lady, warrior)….check.

The only things (besides the abuse scene) that made me complain was that it was a cliffhanger. I hate cliffhangers with a passion. But I dealt because this book was good.

I do think that this would be a great book for girls to read. The heroine has to overcome a lot to realize that she can own her abilities. And when she realizes that….oh boy, does she!!! It has such a positive message that I think girls these days need to hear. That you don’t have to be perfect in other people’s eyes. That the only way you achieve perfection is in your eyes alone. And once you do, you can do anything!!!!

Would I read this book again? Absolutely. I would also read any other book in the series.

Would I reccomend this to family and friends? Yes I would!!!

This was a really fun read! I enjoyed it thoroughly and can't wait for the next books! And I love that this book can be enjoyed by young and old, too.

This book was very fun, a great beginning to a magical series. I am excited to read more, and I'm glad there will be more to read. This book was very fast paced, full of magic and intrigue. Fun read!
Auriella is a simple orphan village girl in England...or is she? Follow Auriella as she faces difficult times and learns who she really is. Some of the hard things were hard to read, but I think this story shows readers how to reach for their dreams and stay the course even when it is tough.
This book is nothing like I expected. It is loaded with beasts, dwarfs, pixies, fairies, knights, kings, and nobility. I s a good story for those who enjoy these elements.
Knight of Light by Deirdra Eden, Book One of The Watchers Series, is an epic fantasy that hooked me from the very first sentence. The action intense at times, the writing always thoughtful, is the story of young Auriella, an orphan girl in her fight for survival in a world of witches, demons and Shadow Wolves.
Eden’s rich descriptive language allows the reader to plunge willingly into a world fraught with peril, adventure, and even a little love as Auriella overcomes all odds against her, and learns her true identity as the Lady of Neviah, the one predestined to overthrow the Shadow Legion.
Knight of Light came to a satisfying end, although I must say that I felt a little sad as I turned the last page—that, to me, is the sign of a good read!
I finished reading the eBook, Knight of Light The Watchers Book 1, by Deirdra Eden. The book is a mixture of adventure, growing up, finding yourself, love, and loss.
The book follows the orphan girl named Auriella and her journey to becoming the Lady of Neviah.
During her journey she is captured by a witch, Gazelle, meets a pixie named Cassi, is helped to freedom by a dwarf named Ruburt, and shown who she really is by a dragon called Woldor the Wise.
The author makes you fall in love with Auriella, and her friends. I enjoyed the banter between the pixie, Cassi, and the dwarf, Ruburt. There were comical times, and some intense times. I like how the author pulled at all your emotions.
